A common space for 852 doors (2020)

Built in 1972 during the dictatorial regime, the 12 apartment buildings in Peristeri, in the western suburbs of Athens, attempted to house thousands of refugees en masse.

Today, this small town within the city unfolds before us through a mosaic of different people and urban spaces. Six residents "open" their door and share stories about both the neighborhood and the building that unites them and the public space that surrounds them. Is a common yard enough to bring them closer? A search for city common in the present, past and future.
