Panayiotis AchniotisPanayiotis Achniotis
Panayiotis Achniotis, born and raised in 1992 in Lefkosia (Cyprus) is an anthropologist. Achniotis accomplished university studies in Social Anthropology in Spain and the Netherlands and specializes in social and political movements and identity. His works include research on militarization in Cyprus and the Catalan grassroots movement for independence. Alongside Andreas Anastasiades and based on their common interest in visual ethnography, they released their debut documentary “Tongue” in 2019 that deals with the emergence of the radical Left and the peace movement in Cyprus.
