Summary
This particular documentary refers to the life of Mr. Ioannis Chalkiadakis, an unknown self-taught painter from Ierapetra, Crete. Although he did not manage to study on the subject he loved so much, having only his stubbornness and will as a guide, he never stopped trying in every way so that the world would know his work. The house where he lives with his wife Pelagia, has his own personal touch everywhere. It has turned into an artistic oasis... From the courtyard where there are mosaics and paintings on even pots and walls to the interior spaces where there are his paintings everywhere. Mr. Chalkiadakis, a man so warm and familiar, warmly welcomes us with his wife, to the sound of Cretan traditional music and "Erotokritos", he guides us around his place, opens his heart to us, takes us back in time, moves us with his story.
