Summary

Α short documentary film about the people watching and photographing the wild flowers of Crete and the feelings that this close relationship with them causes.
It is based on the testimonies of Tonia Katzourou and Manolis Petatakis, who live in the region of Chania, in Western Crete. Due to its geographical position, Crete is a refuge for many plants that have gradually moved over different geological periods from various regions of Europe, Asia and Africa. Over 1,700 species of plants are found on the island.
Manolis owns the small estate Lagkos in Apokoronas and engages daily in the observation of nature. He photographs wild flowers and other plants and shares these pictures with other nature lovers on social media.
Tonia loves doing long walks in the Cretan nature and watching wild flowers – a valuable hobby she inherited from her grandfather. This relationship with nature inspires her to write poems, including poems about the wild flowers of Crete.
